I'm curious about the Teddy Bear scene. A couple of questions:
- How exactly does it play out?
- How long is the scene?
- How graphic is it? How much do we see?
- How is Sarah Silverman's acting?

She's incredibly high and drunk for the scene.
That was the worst teddy bear sex scene I ever watched. There is nothing good about this film.
shareThere is a lot good about this movie. The scene with the teddy bear is just another example of Laney trying desperately to feel better in a way she knows how to feel better. She uses sex and the excitement of sex with men other than her husband throughout the movie as a way to get relief from her depression and the sadness and frustration in her life. She uses drugs the same way. Unfortuntely for her, she finds that the pleasure or "high" she gets from these diversions only temporarily relieves the pain and sadness she feels.

That was a very disturbing scene, grinding on her child's teddy bear, very perverted.
share1. drunk and high, SS stumbles into her kids room, gets horny, uses the bear on herself. she then gets appropriately horrified at her actions.
2. the scene takes less than a minute.
3. it may be titillating, if yr into that sort of thing. and, it is shot about as tastefully as one could expect from such a divisive scene. as for nudity, SS bares her breasts early, during the credits. she does appear fully nude in 'take this waltz'.
4. 0verall, silverman is terrific. one of the best female performances of the year.
