The Ending (Spoilers) and a Question

Sooo… the movie ends with a “ghost” co-parenting a child with a crazy woman who is partly catatonic? Right. That’s an ending that didn’t just jump the shark, it jumped the whole ocean. And what a downbeat end for Eve. That end brought her childhood tragedy full circle.

There is one possible goof I thought I noticed, but am not sure about. When we get the big “ghost” reveal (including what caused the sister-in-law’s choking) there is the shot of Margo outside the bedroom door in the hallway with the dog. In the Tom POV shot, he only sees the dog, but the reveal shows that Margo probably brought the dog there. What I am not sure about is, wasn’t Margo holding a leash? I seem to remember that, yet there was no leash on the dog from Tom’s POV. If so, that seems to violate even ghost rules as she seems to only be able to manipulate real items. But maybe I am just imagining this myself!
