Good film...hamster situation

Having had many hamsters (for my kids) I wondered how they would explain what might have been the same hamster throughout this young adult's life. It was awesome the way they broached that subject..

I completely agree. Audible cheers of joy when they revealed this, since it was my only real issue with the plot. I kept saying: There is no way this creature has been alive since this kid's childhood.

I thought the same. I have a guinea pig friend and I started to think maybe the boy was 13 y/o but looked like 10 y/o
I think the little hamster was the best of the film but I just love cute animals

Agree. I went to my phone to look up how long hamsters live as soon as it flashed forward to (near) adulthood, and I kept thinking - how can they do this? It was my only issue with the story, and it was explained. Nice move.
