Most disappointing movie of the year for me

This looked so good, but it moved at such a snail's pace, with several characters having too similiar dialogue (it was hard to tell sometimes who narrated), it turn too much into a typical infidelity thriller, with almost literally everyone cheating on each other. The ending is also terribly handled. Can someone explain to me what the hell was the deal with Anna just sitting at the stairs while her husband beats the living *beep* out of Anna, then suddenly helps her quickly after?! Sure Anna acted like a lunatic with taking her baby, but how did the movie establish Anna as a sociopath???

Lesser note, but Allison Janney's acting in the movie was terrible and I couldn't stand her character.


It could have been way better than it was. There wasn't much particularly wrong with the acting (Emily Blunt and Justin Theroux were the standouts)
