Did they actually film in Churchill?

A synopsis I read said the main characters go to Churchill, Manitoba.

I would see a film that actually went on location to Churchill, even if I knew it was a bad film, because Churchill is such an interesting location. It is the North American rail grid's only port on the Arctic Ocean. (Russia has about a dozen ports on its Arctic Ocean coast.)

I just watched the film, and it appeared to me that the bulk of filming was done in and around Winnipeg and the Interlake. The characters arrive in Churchill in the final scene, but the location used for filming was actually The Winnipeg Zoo's polar bear exhibit. Pathetic!
