So the spin-off called Beauty Shop is not canon?

Because in Connections there is no mention for "Beauty Shop" and Queen Latifah is on the cast list.

It hasn't been added yet, but some one can request it to be put there in the list. They are not going to retcon Beauty Shop. I am curious to how Gina will be involved; whether she's moved back to Chicago or is just visiting from Atlanta. They SO should have done a Beauty Shop 2. That movie had so much potential for a sequel.
