Al Pacino just appeared in a movie where he plays an aging rock star. Is this a "if he can do it, so can I" type of situation?

There is no "off" position on the genius switch.

I doubt that's the case, however it I think I'll wait until both the movies are available on DVD rental so I can have a double feature night.

Yeah, cuz someone like Meryl Streep totally cares about what Al Pacino's doing with his career.

It seems similar to Danny Collins. I saw DC and it was a great movie with a great ending. The trailer for this though, just looks weird and not interesting at all.

Danny Collins was based on successful English folk singer Steve Tilston. Ricki Rendazzo's music career was not successful by most definitions.
