Her acting is amazing. But we know that. I LOVED the "look"Meryl and Mamie give each other at the end when they are at the wedding. Ya can feel the connection

Although I love Meryl Streep's acting, this movie was way beneath her realm. All of it seemed contrived and stupid. I almost changed the movie, but thought I could stick it out. I got nothing from this movie whatsoever or from her acting. No Oscar here darlin!
Time to take the blinkers off.

shareOnce in a while Meryl makes an unusual movie, a comedy, and why not, she can afford it, it would be too boring if she only did serious movies.
But no, she definitely does not deserve any awards for this. Not unless any other female actress that year was dire.
Love Meryl (and its not her acting that is lacking its the story) but seriously don't think we saw the same movie.
