Spoiler, the lip injury?

Terrific and realistic movie. I have one question though. Towards the end Mark has something wrong with his lip. No blood there, the lip is just raised up and immobilized. What exactly is that injury?

I think it is some kind of burn, but not sure.

That is my opinion, it is mine and belongs to me, and I own it and what it is, too.

he got his face blown off

His face was burned, but I'm assuming a muscle above his lip near his nose was injured/burned, because it seemed to contract or something and involuntary raise his lip, like Harvey Dent.
