Is this a series with Fate/Zero? So confused!

I have already watched Fate/Zero. I really liked it, and saw that this was a series too. I know Fate/Zero was a prequel to this, right? But since this was made after Fate/Zero, does it work as a sequel to this? If I have already seen Fate/Zero, is it worth watching this?
Thank You for the help.

I haven't seen Fate/Zero, but from what I understand, that series takes place during the 4th Holy War while this one takes place during the 5th.

I understand the confusion haha but you should definitely watch unlimited bladeworks before fate/zero

Either way you're going to have spoilers. For example, watching Unlimited Blade Works first is going to spoil the ending of Zero, and watching Zero first is going to spoil the identity of Saber. I'd honestly recommend watching them in chronological order.

Fate Zero is a prequel and is technically intended to be watched last. The viewing order i would recommend for the fate franchise would be:
All 3 routes of the VN > Zero > UBW 2014 anime > Heavens Feel movie(s).
Or at least Fate route of the VN > UBW anime > Heavens Feel Movie(s) > Zero. However seeing as you've already watched zero it wouldnt hurt to watch UBW as a sequel simce its the route that Zero doesnt really spoil. However it spoils the *beep* out of heavens feel so they may be ruined for you. Hope that helps

Lol I watched fate/zero first and didn't know that. I didn't do my research I guess. But it followed well as I could tell. Fate/ zero was/is great and it feels like it's own thing. They did a good job. I'm looking into this now. I may watch the whole thing all over again who knows I may feel differently...afterwards. Who knows?

I actually started watching Fate/UBW before I realized there was a prequel series. Once I realized that, I stopped on episode 8 and started Zero just so I could have the feeling of chronology. I actually think UBW is the weaker series, but only because it doesn't feel as mature, and the revelations later in the show feel a little muddy. Overall this is probably one of my favorite anime series as of late though just because of the interconnected story all around.

I felt it well worth watching after Fate/Zero. Without giving anything away, it takes place 10 yrs later after the fourth holy grail war at the start of the fifth one. There is also Fate/Stay Night which was written before Fate/stay Night Unlimited Blade works. It also follows the fifth holy grail war but tells the story completely different. I still enjoyed watching Fate/Stay Night unlimited blade works even though I seen fate/stay night. Both stories have the same characters but the stories are like watching two completely different wars unfold. I really enjoyed all of them. I watched them in this order.

?Fate/Zero
?Fate/Stay Night
?Fate/Stay Night Unlimited Bladeworks

It's not really a sequel. From what I have read and know the Fate/Stay series are based on visual novels which had multiple different endings you could unlock, the prequel series Fate/Zero was made. The anime Fate/Zero has long been applauded as the best though, the problem is that no true sequel has been done to it because it set up a lot of stuff that is never touched upon in the Fate/Stay series. UBW is as close as we have gotten but it still stayed more true to the visual novels and didn't go for the mature tone of the Zero series. I'm still hoping one day they make a real sequel to the Fate/Zero anime that directly ties into it and lets character and plot from Zero develop even more in Stay. So I wouldn't think of this as a sequel to the Fate Zero anime and see it more as it's own story that just has a similar style to Zero.
