So there were 2 guys living in that 6ft x 6ft alcove otherwise why did the handyman appear up there and who was the 2nd feral guy, i ask because both brightness and sound were not good.

No, there was only one feral man. The other man that you saw was the daughter's boyfriend, who the feral man was keeping captive up in the attic. The boyfriend was the one that was shot by the police when they went up to the attic. The "handyman" was killed almost instantly with a bag over the head and what I thought was a blow to the head by a hammer. How feral man managed to keep and or dispose of the bodies over the years without leaving the house is a huge plot hole for me.
I was also wondering how he disposed of bodies but thought maybe it had been explained and I had missed it. It was a below average film for me and I found myself getting distracted quite easily.
