Pixar normally never eases to amaze the audience by ending a trilogy with a tearful end. Unfortunately Cars 3 failed to tug at the audience heart string, bringing a tsunami wave of emotion. What it did do is introduce a new character that really theft away the spotlight from Lightening McQueen. The beginning of the movie actually allured me in immensely. I thought to myself what a good storyline that would eloquently end the trilogy. But I was very wrong. The movie segued into a comedic festival with the rising new character Carlie. Cars before never disappointed me but it sure does now. The ending of the movie left too many possibilities open, rather than close a beautiful story.

Yup, I've got the very same issues.

The mid race storyline change bothered me. Completely took the focus off Lightning.

And without wanting to be called misogynistic too, can Holywood have a film these days where a woman doesn't suddenly appear as the new star of the show?

You could see it coming a mile off and given the clunky way she's introduced to the race, it stank the film up.

It's literally the answer to all their thoughts these days. Star Wars / Ghostbusters etc and Dr Who on TV too. Enough with the positive descrimination already.

Pixar is not what it used to be. this was very disappointing.

I totally agree.

I just watched it with my little nephew today. I wanted McQueen to win just one last time to end it perfectly. And to make Doc proud for the last time. Maybe it's a bit too cliché but I wanted it to happen. And I was looking forward to that big race between McQueen and Storm, which were seen a lot in the trailers and teasers. But sadly they went with Cruz's story. Blah.

Even Cars 2 was better than this. Cars 3 is dissapontingly weak.
