Haven't seen this movie yet. But I am curious about one thing, for those that saw the movie.

Did Mater really get downplayed in the movie, from what I've been hearing about, this time?

I especially kind of noticed from a lot of the promos where we would just see him communicate with Lightning through a monitor.
