What films did you think this movie was similar to?

I found similarities between both versions of Michael Haneke's "Funny Games", the original 1997 Austrian and its Hollywood remake by same director Michael Haneke, David Slade's "Hard Candy" (2005) with Ellen Paige, the original "Death Game" (1977) of course, (to a degree) both of Eli Roth's Hostel films, Takashi Miike's "Audition" (1999), Peter Jackson's "Heavenly Creatures" (1994) and to a small degree also - the little seen direct to video psychological police thriller "Someone to Die For" (1995) - especially with a disturbing similar scene to this one towards the end.

How about you?

I also strangely noticed some similarities with this little seen film "Kill Cruise" (1990) -

There is also apparently a British film called "Boy Meets Girl" (1994) directed by Ray Brady that apparently covers a similar premise, man meets a young woman who then proceeds to torture and possibly kill him later, but that film is apparently much more disturbing and realistic than this.
