Apparently there is an alternate ending where the exact thing you're asking for seems to happen. I guess they wanted to leave it as open to a sequel as possible, so they went with the downer ending.

No its more likely most men live with the stigma that your not allowed to use anything but words against women. IE most men correctly assume they will be in a lot of trouble with the police if they have to forceably remove women from their homes ore vehicals. Its so easy to pick up an assault charge when you have to toss women out. "Get your hands off me" is the womans natural response while others will respond "What you mean you coulden't have just asked them to leave?" and you have to respond how telling them to leave just doesn't work.
