Is this a Reboot to the 2001 Series of the same name?
Why does this Show have the same Title as the 2001 Series Transformers Robots in Disguise? Is it a Reboot?
shareIt's a sequel to the Transformers Prime cartoon show. As for why it has the same title, well, "Robots in Disguise" has always been one of the main taglines of the franchise, so the creators probably just thought it would be a nice title for the cartoon, especially since the 2001 show hasn't been on the air for so long.
shareI also think the transformers RID was a japanese show that still hasn't been sold on DVD. Most kids watching todays transformers will not have seen it and so wouldn't care.
Even so it is STILL confusing if you are surf'n the net trying to find info on it.
Robots In Disguise was the American named version of a Japanese imported show called Car Robots and actually it has been released on DVD.
