Piece of Sci-Fi Trash/ nothing to do with horror

I watched this film two days ago expecting to see some good paranormal horror related to demons or spirits. Not only had it nothing to do with horror, but the film's idea itself was so stupid, even with its lame twists, that I had to give it only 4/10. And this is me who is actually a generous rater.

This is not a horror film. It is a cheap sci-fi that unfortunately had wasted the talent of a great actress.

The film was a complete waste of time and money, even if you watched it on your couch while eating popcorn. I was honestly going to fight with the cinema guys to get my money back. Piece of trash.

Well, i think the exact opposite of what Tara typed.

interesting and unique take on a tired old horror genre that doesnt resort to easily predictable jump scares/themes/cliches.

5 bags of popcorn.

It's not 'interesting' or 'unique' and it very much does resort to easily predictable horror cliches... sudden shots of boogiemen, faces and hands coming out of the walls, gruesome makeup.
I can see that the people making it might have thought they were doing something different but it's not nearly different enough.

You are right. The story barely made any sense with very awful complexity. Just make it a good simple to understand demon/poltergeist horror movie that matches the title that the average horror fan was looking forward to.

if a scientist is able to use scientific acumen to investigate and identify a "paranormal" disturbance, it is then a quantifiable thing and within the realm of science, not paranormality. so either his science was all BS or this simply has nothing to do with paranormal stuff.

What a lovely way to burn...
