Brigitte Farell: Real Person???

I'm curious about this part because Sylvie Testud is the best-known person in this film. So I am curious about the role of "Brigitte Farell." Was "the psychologist" on this case really a woman or was the part embellished to make the film more of a draw...?

Dramatic license is fine. Narrative films are not documentaries & they are never totally about "facts" as known. So this really is just a question, & not to be interpreted as a criticism.
