ZzzzzZzzzzzzzzz....

okay so i love the trailer park boys, i think they are incredibly hilarious, and rewatch old episodes all the tiem.

Season eight definitely was a step down from their other stuff, but it was still funny and felt like trailer park boys still.

I'm not entirely sure if what i was watching was exactly Swearnet Live, but thats what netflix called it, and it definitely was about swearnet being live. It seemed like a first episode, or some kind of pilot.

The first half of the episode was painfully unfunny to me. It felt kind of chaotic and unrehearsed, which is fine if it turns out funny. I couldnt really tell when they were joking, and it wasnt funny like it was supposed to be deadpan or something. As it goes on and ricky/bubbles/julian are actually encorporated into the show, it becomes a little better, but not much. I am so incredibly dissapointed in how this show ended up.. :(

The guy ended up doing salvia on the show. Which was kinda lame because ive done salvia and what i saw him doing was not what salvia does to you. I've never done salvia and not gone to the "other dimension" he was trying to reach. Basically if you do salvia, you lose all sense of being and it feels like you just woke up from dreaming, and ur entire life was just the dream u dreamt, and u try and understand whats going on by learning everthing again. Its a weird drug, and i never felt like it was fun lol, just confusing.

I am really dissapointed in this show. I love the trailer park boys so much, and the humour really resonates with me, but swearnet live does not really feel like trailer park boys. Its just a chaotic mess of swearing. It feels This show might just need some time to get going, especially since they are kinda making it out of no where, and have a lot of pressure to be good quick.

3/10 as of right now. To be honest, if it wasnt trailer park boys, i never would have given it more than 10 minutes. I really hope it gets better as time goes on because i dont think i have it in me to watch more than 1 more episode of this...

It wasn't very good. In fact, it's not really a good idea overall. Swearing does not equate to jokes, so when that's your go-to move... EVERY TIME... Ugh.

I'm hoping the movie is miles better than this particular project. After seeing this and watching various "behind the scenes" clips of the movie online, it seems strange how much of a controlling dick Mike Smith comes off as. I know these scenes are hardly natural, but it's a bit of a shock to see the group dynamic turned on it's head with Bubbles calling the shots.

yeah to be perfectly honest the swearing seemed to be used in place of jokes like ur saying.

It feels heavily improvised, and whenever one of them seems to get lost in the chaos, they basically just belt out cult ass bitch slut while saying other stuff thats mildly related to the situation.

The whole swearnet project just kinda feels not fully thought out. Its like the trio were annoyed that they were limited to a certain number of swear words (like depicted in the movie thing) and so they decided that this would be enough to make a network.

To be honest i think it would have worked 15 years ago, when swearing on public channels (of any sort, not just tv) was pretty taboo. Nowadays with the internet and all its blatant rudeness, and uncensored/unregulated movies/shows/videos where swearing hasnt been limited, its just nothing thats really that new or unique.

i remember that shows like bevis and butthead, or south park, were initially so controversial/popular/infamous for their raunchy plotlines and scripts in a time when that was rare/taboo. Now that its been done over and over, it just doesnt feel like anything new.

it makes me sad because i love the trailer park boys and all the movies. Considering how heavily involved they are in the actual creation/writing of the show, we know its mainly a flop just because they are trying to force something that isnt coming naturally to them. We know they are funny already, so its gotta be the idea thats lacking.
