I don't trust Robert

Anyone else get the feeling he's up to no good?

I wouldn't be surprised if he's the one responsible for his father's death. It feels like he's trying to suppress how power hungry he actually is. Also seems he's playing both Cyrus and Helena.

He just creeps me out.

When was the last time an evil act was committed in the name of the Devil..?

reply

Yeah, something seems off.

reply

Agreed. I can't shake the feeling that the other shoe hasn't dropped yet.

Me too! What a wanker!

I have a feeling that he will just "disappear" again one day. Maybe it is wishful thinking, I hate how he treats Liam and my gosh, he was so hateful to Jasper! "The family gym". Yep, who pays to keep the lights and heat on in that gym, Robbie?

He is this gross combination of entitled and wimpy. I mean, we saw him choose to stay on the island, at least once. He snuffed out his fire when he could have been rescued.

I hear there is some debate about him, he has fans. I've no clue why. I agree that he is power hungry and would SOOO not be surprised if he and Cyrus were in cahoots. Or he has PTSD and we can ship him off to a nice hospital. Or the Tower... ooh! That would be fun!

reply

I definitely don't trust him! And i think liam knows he is up to no good! Robert is out for revenge! But i am sure when the season ends we will find out since they like to keep us hanging on the edge for thenext epsiode?

reply

I do think robert is up to something and the way he belittles liam is wrong.

reply

Frankly I'm hoping that he isn't up to anything shady but just is an entitled, over privileged wanker. Much like the twins were at the start of the show. I feel that while the twins and Helena have gone through trials and lessons since the series began which allowed them to emerge as better characters, Robert has just been on pause during his time in seclusion. I feel a bit bad for him too that we've all become accustomed to these characters and his absence so much that his presence now is just overwhelming. I can't imagine what this family was like before with him as he is and them as they were. And as an audience we're just more invested in Liam and Eleanor's happiness than we are concerned about Robert.

The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love..

Robert has been going out of his way to call Liam "Sparrow" even after Liam has repeatedly asked/told him to stop doing that. Robert really seems to enjoy twisting the knife in Liam's back to keep him in his place, namely NOT the next heir to the throne. I think Robert is an absolute jerk and it will take some doing on the writers' parts to redeem him in my eyes. In the meantime, I'm hoping that Liam gets a chance to go all Fight Club on his big brother, either over who will be King or who the father of Kathryn's inevitable soon-to-be baby is.

reply

Han, poor baby. Liam is a little bitch. No wonder Robert taunts him, like that. He asks for it, with his resentful, and envious attitude, towards him.

reply

I agree. You would think that Robert would be a little sensitive to what Liam is going through especially when it seems his mother has completely forgotten that he exists. She goes from telling him she believes he's ready to be King to tossing him aside a few hours later.

reply

Sensitive to what? That little piece of sht needs to accept the fact that he isn't the future king, anymore. Liam is so entitled, right now. It's as if he wished Robert was still dead. Bastard. Future kings don't do tantrums, like Liam does right now. Robert would make a much better king. He's fair, but ruthless, when he needs to be. Unlike Liam, who's a whiny and selfish brat.

reply

Right because everyone loves being completely forgotten and having something huge taken from them. Of course he feels like Robert is taking everything from him. Robert seems incredibly selfish and uncaring about anyone but himself.

reply

I don't think Robert is up to no good. He is trying to regain the throne, something that is by rights his. Despite growing up and convincing the British people that HE should be king, Liam is acting like a total a$$. Liam should realize that if Robert succeeds and de-thrones Cyrus, then HE is next in line (unless Kathryn gets pregnant by Robert), and should support him or take the reins of his charity to help the injured war veterans, that HE, Liam thought of and not Robert.

reply

I had a feeling he was going to be a bad person the second he put out his fire when helicopters were searching for him.

Why didn't he want to be found? What was or is he hiding from? If he loves his family, the throne, and the gf he left behind so much...why did he PURPOSEFULLY stay "missing" and "Dead" for MONTHS?!

reply

Exactly!

reply

there's no question that robert put that reporter up to getting rid of jasper. robert is a manipulator and not trustworthy. says to eleanor's face he's happy she's happy, then turns around on a dime and does his best to end that happiness.

that is NOT trustworthy.
