Did TNT only show half of the season finale episode?

The very last scene was Michael Rappaport calling his whore a whore and her calling him an *beep* the show ended and the credits followed.

There is just NO WAY that there was not supposed to more shown after this. The Muldoon and Rusty threads were about to converge; obviously the cop was gonna confront the crook before the latter left town.

Is TNT that desperate to get this show off their schedule because of the low ratings that they would deprive the few people who have been watching to the end...a chance to see the actual end?

I don't read tweets. I don't write tweets. And I don't like people who do.

That was the way Ed wrote it. It probably should have been edited different with that scene airing before the one with Terry saying goodbye to Christine as he went to work to look for Patton's killer. This also was filmed back in the early spring so they had no way of knowing about how it would do in the ratings. Ed's got a five season plan too so he never wrote it as an ending since he's positive season 2 will happen, and he's already wrote it.

I really hope his confidence isn't hubris.

On the other hand, surely he knows the ruthlessness of the business so I feel like he wouldn't be so confidant of a second season if he didn't know that it was going to be renewed.

Maybe he knows more than he's allowed to divulge? Maybe Public Morals will be allowed another season? I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I agree. He does seem so confident about it coming back so I'm hoping it means he knows something. I know they got large numbers for the binge watching event back on Labor Day, where I watched the whole season, and they are still getting a lot online and through the app. I feel like the show is more suited for binge watching.

Have to agree. I could not believe this was the way the season ended.

Total joke.

We deserve better than that.

It was a bit weird......the Rappaport and his interest scene was a good one, but not a typical season ender.

To my mind the exploding car was that.

I thought our DVR malfunctioned or the show started late. Was going to ask what I missed.

Certainly no way to end a series.
