A Touch of Cloth

It seems this one is very similar to UK's A Touch of Cloth.
Don't miss it if you wanna know how a parody show is done.

It did seem horribly presumptive for this poor imitation of so many superior comedies, especially the one cited in this thread, to air here in the UK. The performances in this tripe are the antithesis of "Cloth" and this show also makes the mistake of casting too many familiar comedians. Wasn't the beauty of the classic spoofs to utilize straight actors playing everything legitimately. Edgar Wright correctly cited how Leslie Nielsen lost his luster once he began to mug incessantly. This lead actress is painfully dull, mistaking deadpan for dead and then conversely acting far too goofily self conscious. You watch people in this series laboring to be funny, whereas "Cloth" always caught you off guard with skewed levity. A Prince joke they made still reverberates in its simple genius.

Touch of Cloth is definitely better but Tribeca still deserves it's laughs. It's just a bit more goofy is all.
