When you resort to the shock and awe strategy you haven't got a prayer

First- the language. REALLY? Is it necessary to talk that way? Blow jobs casually mentioned? Just swearing for the sake of swearing - where it actually adds nothing, nothing at all to the scene.

Second - hello the overt sexual content that are inappropriate ever. Actually talking about giving/getting oral sex? What the heck is that about? Is nothingleft for the audience to figure out?

Third- the story lines? OMG, so absolutely unbelievably STUPID!!

Your family or mine? Put me up for adoption, I would not want either.

Not all white people are boring. I think as what they had in there trade show thing the other day that they are going to have shows the people that already watch all day won't want to see. Go for like me the ones that don't turn on the tvto see the same junk on every channel. Thats a million and milions of people to go after.

I agree.

I also don't care for excessive use of bad language, but I don't think YFoM uses it excessively. I think some people are pompous and feel a need to censor everything until it's PC. Some shows on the Big 3 networks are worse then YFoM regarding language, but they're considered acceptable for some strange reason.

I can imagine the blow job talk about stuff, but it seems like they mostly rely on that and it's all cheap laughs, and those jokes are written in a way that is actually funny.

Agree- its all cheap laughs

Disagree 100% that the "jokes" are written in a way that is actually funny.

The show panders to the lowest of level of intelligence. They are right there with the potty humor 5th grade children use.

I agree the language feels out of place. I know they do use language on some cable shows nowadays but on a sitcom it seems very out of place

"That was the sickest thing I've seen on TV, and I watch Dance Moms"

This entire thread puzzles me. Half of the sitcoms on TV resort to shock and awe, but forums for those won't have people complaining about it. In contrast, this sitcom doesn't actually try to "shock and awe", but just approaches some topics that some people consider taboo, when they really shouldn't be.

I would bet my last nickel that you watch sitcoms I'd consider far worse then this one, due to the inappropriate content involved, but you're hung up on the use of "blow jobs" being casually mentioned. I'd also bet my last nickel that your priorities are whacked and that's why.

Its getting better rating than a bunch of shows at way higher cost. Maybe some people see there shows at being in trouble with this staying on.
