Richard and Jobeth.

Dreyfuss and Williams were stars in early Spielberg classics. Dreyfuss in Jaws and Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Williams in the original Poltergeist. Growing up with them at the helm back in the day, it's wonderful to see them play a couple acting off each other, even if that visuality is the only benefit there is. I'd love to see them do this with better writing and a good solid story, perhaps in something by Paul Thomas Anderson who can get good performances for character pieces.

It's a shame the writing on this show is so bad, because they're the reason I have watched this show. You don't see them as often anymore so watching them at work here is gratifying in that respect, and only that respect.

Its just my thinking, but I think your wanting a show that cost more than what TBS wants to spend. My thoughts is they need to be cheaper than a Big Bang rerun to stay on. Richard is a great actor. But he really put some extra miles on him with his vices in his younger days. I don't really think they will push him into he needs to carry this show. And really there is nothing wrong with giving the younger people a chance to move up. Me I would like in the following seasons to give the more minority cast some extra time than they have now. I see them as really hardworking to make this show stay on.

Everyone in this show has potential except the writers who need to have better material. I was saying I'd like to see them in something else with better writing, say, a film or whatnot.

I wish they would say something about if cancelled or not. I don't think the writers are a definite set as by contract or not. Still it takes time for them to really see the cast and write to there abilities.

Agreed. Most TV shows become what they are in season 2. It either makes or breaks 'em. I'd say this cast deserves another chance with much better material.

I suppose they are waiting to see on Clipped how it does. They want a whole year next year I guess. I wish that show would hold its audience better than it has. Angie Tribecca is after that. Still they are less costing than a BB rerun.

If it's cheaper to prduce than a BBT rerun than I'd say they do it.

It was 1.5M back in 2010 when they first stated showing them. They passed a big chunk of the raises on since then. Not all was higher cost commericals on the original series. I think its well into 2-3M now a episode. But it does have a audience for TBS though. But I and I think others if they watch YFOM will get a fan base as well.
