What do you miss about 1995?

The music was awesome. TV was awesome - original, no reality shows. People were not glued to their phones all day. No terrorist threats, just to name a few.

I turned 13 in 1995--it's a special year for me, one of those that I can vividly recall...

I miss being surprised by pop culture. Maybe it's because of my age, but nothing surprises me anymore--especially in movies and music. I actually kind of miss when pop music was safe. Now, everyone's trying to be provocative, and I want to tell the Rihannas and Tove Los how cute they are for trying to shock.

Movies too, are different. I miss the variety of movies. There were movies for families, adults and kids. Now, it's all franchise stuff. Grown-up movies now have to be made at the independent level.

ETA: Basically, pop music in general was safer then, though there were very provocative artists, like Madonna and now it feels like today's pop stars are trying too hard to do something previous artists have done before them.

Awards only matter when people I like win.

I miss the clothes and kid shows.

Just being a kid again, back living in my hometown (Pittsburgh)

Just being a kid. I was 8 years old that year. Nowadays kids have phones and are in relationships. I don't get this generation at all. When I was a kid in 90's, I played tag and went outside.

Dailybigmouth! Me too! I was 7/8 and played tag too. Lateli I find myself driving to my old side of town, a happy healthier time, when my family was together and certain people were still alive and so many things hadn't happened to me yet. Miss my free time and innocence, y'all know, childhoooood!

I've been seeing things
from my childhood,(one example, its a 2colored tennis ball with some freesbie looking thing that has velcro on it, you throw it and it sticks to it! Does anyone now it? I just bought us some of those, and so many more things!)

I miss cartoons being on at 3pm (they're on all day now, but most stink, or maybe b/c I'm an ault now!) particularly Tom & Jerry, Mighty Max, Popeye etc. I know they're on Cartoon Network, and DVD & BR, but yeah...

The Hollywood Video stores here are now The Movie Exchange (this place sucks, unlike Movie Trading Co. In Dallas Texas!) they kept the whole place looking the same, it even smells the same as when I used to go rent movies there, ah movie rentals. Every Tuesday a new release for $3.99 and older ones for $1.50.

My younger cousins are not at all interested in anything but social media.., but I get it; in my teens, all I wanted to do was hang out with my friends and be out and about, I guess to them that equals to that! Lol. My generation is pretty stuck on social media too though and many of them still act like kids and bullies still, and are teaching their offspring to be exactly like them! Yuck! Ridiculous!
