How is Elizabeth Pena credited for this movie??

How is that possible? I don't understand. She's dead! It's psychically impossible for her to be appearing in any movies made past 2014! Can someone explain to me how this is possible because i'm obviously not understanding how this is possible!

Production on "Girl on the Edge" took place early in 2014 at various locations in and around Los Angeles and Moab, Utah. Silverman is currently taking "Girl on the Edge" on the road via the U.S. and international film festival circuit.

In using IMDb it is important to remember the year they put in the title is arbitrarily set as the year designated by IMDb staff as first public showing that they count. It can be a film festival, and the film might be tinkered with before final version ready for actual release, and then the year is too early for practical use.

But in this case the 2015 means merely a film released in 2015. For troubled or shelved movies, it could have been shot 4 years earlier. For films that have had bigger problems getting distribution or sat on the shelf forever the year can be decades later. Some porno titles in the database from the '70s are dated say 2009 because that is when a DVD finally appeared. For foreign films this date is also questionable; I am filing a 1997 date edit today for a French film released in America in 1999 - the U.S. release date is the only one stored in IMDb so they list it as 1999 in the title by mistake -didn't track down the original release date bach home in France. For porn, hundreds of titles are given a too-new release year in the title based on foreign release of the film, say in France, Portugal, Germany or wherever, merely because that date is known but database does not include the original US release date.

I have personally just corrected the date of Clive Donner's Rogue Male, which the IMDb is currently dating 1977 on the strength of a 16 September 1977 screening at the Toronto International Film Festival, but which I personally saw on BBC2 on its original TV transmission on the evening of Wednesday 22 September 1976 (when it made the cover of that week's edition of the Radio Times).

This is a far from unique occurrence. A recent high profile example is The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, for which Philip Seymour Hoffman had completed all but two of his scenes when he died in February 2014, his remaining scenes being rewritten to compensate for his absence. The film eventually opened in November 2015.

Because she is in it. Just because she died after it was released doesn't mean she doesn't get credited.
