Good rating news for Henry

NEW YORK – Sept. 23, 2014 – Nickelodeon closed the third week of September (9/15/14-9/21/14) as basic cable’s number-one network in total day with Kids 2-11 (1.9/602K), locking up the top shows in key demos across Kids 2-11, Kids 6-11 and Kids 2-5 that feature hit animation series and a new comedic winner from the network’s just-launched live-action slate, Henry Danger.

Henry Danger, the latest live-action hit from Dan Schneider, has risen as the top-rated show for Kids 6-11 in only its 2nd week on the air. The half-hour comedy about a boy navigating a double life and balancing the challenges of eighth grade with the crazy adventures of a crime fighter, ranked number-one with the demo, averaging a 4.9/939K.

Schneider continues to be the Spielberg of the 6-11 crowd

Great, it's done well in it's first two weeks. Once the newness wears off we'll see how well it'll do.

Weren't his previous shows prior to this & sam/cat skewing lower in that demo & higher in other demos?

I'm 37 years old and unashamed to admit that my wife and I love this show...we watch it with our 10yo every week.

I would say his audiences are more 12-17 in this day and age 11-19 I know many 20 year olds who like the show. The jokes and puns Schneider tells are usually something only mature audiences would get. It's entertaining for kids but the actualy lines and things probably only teenagers+ would get. Just like all his shows have always been for teenagers and they all end up on teen nick

Am I the only 14 year old who watches it?

reply

I'm an adult and thought it looked so dumb when seeing screenshots and whatnot, so I kept never watching it (which I guess it's weird for an adult to be watching it anyway, but I just like Dan's shows). But now that I started watching it, I think it's very well made and all the actors do a good job, as well.

There's just never a show that Dan makes which is "bad", even though some claim this and some others are. I still would put icarly, victorious, and zoey 101 at the top, but then it would be harder to rank from there with this, drake and josh, and sam & cat.
