Really bad character writing and development

I mean it gets old that she's always dismissive just that she can believe at the end of the episode and then start over the next episode.

If she would be just sceptical I would understand, but she is going full retard in every episode.

This show is for people who believe in some spiritual stuff. How do the writers think that the target audience will like this ducking beach, if she's always against the whole concept and call everybody a moron who believes in it?

I know I hate her already now.

Do they really want to keep it this way for 10 seasons?

It may worked by Scully in X-Files, but at least she wasn't idiotic, just tried to explain everything scientifically.

This one is just plain stupid.

Putting it a little strong, but I think you can find others here commenting on the disappointing lack of follow-through based on the first three episodes.

I kind of feel like they are going for a character people will love to hate. Plus its only been 3 episodes. A little too soon to see any kind of development. Further, I think the fact that she IS so dismissive makes it more satisfying when things happen that she can't explain.

I agree with you. Plus each episode has dealt with something different when it comes to life after death. It would be one thing if they each dealt with being able to see your dead relative. It might be easier for her to start believing. But it hasn't been that way. So it's going to take longer for her to full-on believe. You wouldn't want someone who's nice & would take to the whole idea. It would kind of seem like Ghost Whisperer.

This show is a fav of mine cause it provides us some serious discussion on everyone's future. Unfortunately the lady in the green scarf and 'they' while compelling in some ways kind of sours me on the show too.

I appreciate the original programing other than reality shows TV in general is offering up. Could this be a renaissance of creatively?... keeping fingers crossed.

I definitely agree that took a turn for the worse towards Syfy's Dominion or CW's Supernatural.

I'm thinking it could be good or it could be bad until we see where they take it. I'm not sure how long this show could go on with nothing but the stories they have shown before the last episode. To me, it would get old if it went on episode after episode investigating and only coming up with more questions. What they do with this mysterious "they" remains to be seen.
