Not all black people use that word. She's very educated so I doubt that she would.

Realistically in the U.S. a person with a black parent is still considered black. Nobody is referring to Obama as the first mixed race president.

You're right about that. It's like whatever you look like the most. Obama is black but Mariah Carey is considered white.

I refer to President Obama, when his ethnicity is brought up, as being of mixed ethnic heritage. I don't like the idea of race - we are all ONE RACE: THE HUMAN RACE.

People with no moral nor respect are the ones that use that type of condescending language so no, you won't see Carol saying it. And it wouldn't make her black just by saying it.

She's white regardless that one of her parents is black.

Why must race be brought up in a message board about a TV show!!?? That is utterly ridiculous. This is a TV show about people trying to determine if there is life after death, not whether a person is black or white. Why does that even matter? Or, am I missing something here?
