Poor writing, mediocre acting, uninteresting cinematography, etc. Time to cross over to where the good shows are.

I assume you gave up by the pilot or second episode because after that the series gets much much better than it originally was.
Doesn't matter, though. Season one's finished now so you can binge it if you wanted.
