I just caught up with the series.

Elizabeth Gilles being in this was the main reason I watched the show, and I like it. It’s pretty funny and interesting so far, although I thought season 2 was a little on a 'meh' side.

The premise of the show also reminded me of a short-lived and obscure ABCFamily series called “Ruby and the Rockets.” In both shows, the premise revolves around a former rock group of yesteryear who seeks to relive their glory days. The leader of the band is a has-been with an unbeknownst daughter who left her home to find him. Daughter earns an unconventional love interest (through father’s best friend, an incestuous cousin). Daughter becomes new lead singer of the band and then made her father’s band relevant again in the process.
