Fantasy....

That's what this movie was. No husband would stand for what she did. First of all it wasn't a day she was away but a few. She takes things to an extreme and abandons her family because she felt she was being taken for granted. She doesn't bother to call and then makes a career decision without consulting her husband and family. When the husband shows up to bring her home, she tells him that she can't go back to the way things were and tells him that she going to stay another night. Since going to extremes is what she believes will get attention and send a message, when she finally came home, she should have found the locks changed and her things boxed up. I wouldn't have let her return until she decided to act like a responsible adult, wife, and mother.

The curious thing is that she never apologized for taking off like she did. What if the husband had done the same? Would she be as forgiving? I think not.

Totally disagree. Quite frankly, her family is lucky she came back. They were so thoughtless, selfish, and completely awful to her. She deserved so much better.

What? A movie that wasn't realistic? How unusual, and awful!

You sound angry about something, and it isn't this film. Maybe you should address that instead of attacking a harmless, fun little movie.
