Is it just me or is Season 2 a bit boring so far? A couple episodes in and I haven't laughed as much as the first season. The first season to me was a satire of Rich American society with iconic American figures, but now season 2 is just pointless nonsense. The acting is now a bit overdone. Where's Fedrick, Dodo, the servants and Hortense? This season has been Lillian and Beatrice just screaming.
And why is there a Hortense 3.0, she looks nothing like the previous one.
Where has the satire gone? That's what made this show so hilarious. What happened to the quirky humour like "I'm going to work at a factory!" or The Woman suffer age movement NAGS. Or the Beauty pageant where they had to compete against a Cabbage?

Should be Hortense 3.0 she's the third person to play her counting the Pilot. It's a different actress both have same first name, Lauren Flans is the replacement. Lauren Ash the dismal 1st season Hortense. Could be part of the humor or something less comedic I like their different approach, I hope it just isn't tinkering by the network to "appeal to a larger audience" that would be the worst thing for this show or any for that matter, niche comedy shows are the best.
The Eleanor Roosevelt lesbian scene w/Lindhome was good as was Teddy being called a "cough drop ad model". Nothing worse than a show relying on what worked or funny in first season and ust trying to repeat it, it gets really old fast just like sequels to movies doing same cashing in on rehashed humor, I recognize it immediately totally ruins the experience.

I think there is less Dodo because Paget Brewster has other acting jobs right now. It's like how Albert was put in a coma because the actor got another job and couldn't do as many scenes but didn't want to leave the show. We have a new Hortense because the second actress has another job.

Fredrick is shown less because supposedly he and Celery are in D.C. where he's being senator/ vice president.

It's not just you. The show is not funny this season. I deleted it from my DVR. Watching a comedy stone-faced is not worth it.

no, its not you, season 2 turned out to be flat.
season 1 was good, but this season i find it rather dull. something is missing but i cant seem to pinpoint it.

I think it started slow but has been picking up steam as the season's gone on. I've enjoyed the last few starting with the Harvard one.

No, it's not just you. I would say first season was about an 8-9, and the second season is about a 2, and sometimes as bad as a 1. Totally lost everything that made it funny. No edge. Nothing. It's just sad. It's like they labotomized the writers and put all the actors on a variety of heavy drugs. The IT is just gone. I have watched the first season like three times, and laugh out loud all the way through. I have barely giggled at this season. Downloaded all to DVR and have been binge watching praying it gets better.

And PS: I really like the second Hortense. I thought she was hilarious.
