Truth Be Told & The Impossible Dream (movies)
I love the military, but I think that Randilynn, Phoebe's mother, should have left the military when her husband, Phoebe's father, was killed. Phoebe was left with only her grandfather to raise her, and he was not in the best of health, needing regular dialysis. There was no grandmother or aunt to help Phoebe transition into womanhood. Could her grandfather have helped her through her first period, for example? And if her mother had died, she would have been left an orphan. If her grandfather had succumbed to his ill health, what would have happened to her?
I know how patriotic Randilynn was and how much the military meant to the whole family, but her first duty was to her daughter. She should have resigned her commission and left or, at the very least, asked for stateside duty so they could be together.
Boo Hoo! Let me wipe away the tears with my PLASTIC hand!--Lindsey McDonald (Angel)
