The main guy played the film like he's Joey Tribiani. I haven#t seen such overacting in films not set in the 40s. I counted 5 times where he jumped back and fell down in surprise. Infuriating, much like the movie on the whole. Photography was great though.
I had to look up Joey Tribiani. I really didn't need to know this but now I do. He's a character from that horrible TV show Friends. My god what a ghastly show that was. It's one of those separate the herd things. Friends/Seinfeld, Beatles/Stones, Pepsi/Coke. The correct answers are on the right. The idiots guide to morons lists the left.

. He was clearly directed to do that, as with the weak, fake American accents. I thought the acting, given the circumstances was of a quite reasonable standard.

As I said on another thread, I'm sure it was, if you like your cinematography made up of around 97% extreme close-up shots. Didn't work for me at all.🐭

I know what you mean about him being directed that way, so fault goes to the director too but it came off really weak. By the way I wouldn't really class the annoying close ups as photography, more direction again, but could be wrong. I just meant the images and colours and lighting looked cool to me.
