I enjoyed this movie, but my only issue is that someone who took that much alcohol and Xanax in the middle of the night would not be able to hold a conversation, let alone be able to drive a car a few hours later. If this was realistic she would be mumbling, drooling, slurring for closer to 24 hours.
Movies consistently miss drug details. Obviously only a film critic with extensive field training in this glorious aspect of human existence will pick up on this shît. A common one I see is a patient's response to an intramuscular injection of some or another tranquilizer...one could only hope to get something through one's fat a$s and into the bloodstream that quickly. One can dream...
I was mostly struck by the fact that the character looked amazingly gorgeous at the end, despite the fact that in the last 12 hours she'd overdosed on pills, been drinking, and had stayed up the whole night with off and on phases of crying. Yet at the end she looked like she was ready for a photo shoot.
I liked the movie, but I thought that they both looked very polished at the end given the night they'd just had.

When I was watching it I thought they looked rough. I thought their eyes looked so tired and I wondered if they filmed in the middle of the night just to have the actors actually be tired.
