Wow...

Im a fan of Korean films, but this one just didnt make much sense to me. I didnt really like how they mixed the terror/thriller parts with the child like a mannerisms. I understand the main girl is supposed to be slow but come on. Even a 10 year old knows how to get the attention of the police! It was pretty good over all but you def have to suspend disbelieve for this one. Check out The Man From Nowhere for something a little better IMO. But still a solid 7/10 for me.

Actually the little girl in the movie was 10 and couldn't get the attention of the police in the train station. There were definitely some things you had to put up with but the characters, acting and thrills held me spellbound.

Usually the genre bending is pretty good in Korean films, but I agree that with this one it just didn't turn out well. I enjoyed the parts separately for what they were, but they belonged in another film, tbh. It's like they took two movies and rewrote a few bits to link them together or something. The result was two or three good plots that felt like they didn't get fitting conclusions. The whole side plot with Nari's sister being beaten (and possibly raped) just felt like it was dropped. It seemed like they were setting things up for something bigger then it got forgotten after the drawn out conflict in the restaurant. Basically like they remembered it at the last second and then scrambled to poorly tie up the loose end.
