Very good show, shame about the mistakes

I rather enjoyed this show, good acting, amazing story, pretty grim, important history to know.
They clearly put a lot of money, effort and time into it and the atmosphere is rather good which makes it such a shame that they still managed to make a lot of mistakes.
Many viewers may not notice or even care, but I do.
To me this means that someone in the production team did not do their job properly and if that was the sound guy and you saw the boom in the frame all the time, you'd notice it, because it is history, I notice it.

Some of the uniforms make no sense, there are post ww2 cars, 1950s radios, etc, etc.
Not to mention the cliché of all the Gestapo guys wearing black leather coats and black hats.

Thankfully the show and acting is so good that all these mistakes don't ruin it or distract you too much.
But it is a shame that whoever was involved with the historical research didn't try a little harder.

Anyway, don't let this keep you from enjoying this wonderful show.

The German uniforms are often appalling, with a mix of Wehrmacht and SS insignia on the same uniform, the wrong helmet decals, badges such as the Nazi Party badge being worn at the collar of Barbie's uniform, etc.
The Gestapo wore clothes to blend in with the population not stand out, the leather coats are a cliche better suited to "'Allo,'Allo". The old TV series "Colditz" got this right with one rather fat Gestapo agent wearing a beret and knitted tank top!
But otherwise a well made series brave enough to show how much collaboration thee was, although I did think the SOE should have been mentioned as they were very active in training and supplying the various resistance groups.

Trust me. I know what I'm doing.

Perhaps I should not comment yet because I have not seen it yet but this drama is my sort of thing.

I assume that being a French production it will try to be accurate as to the history of their own heroes, they will surely have employed experts on France in
World War 2?

There are loads of books about German uniforms and resistance organisations in World War 2,I own a few of them (eg OSPREY PUBLICATIONS "RESISTANCE WARFARE""PARTISAN WARFARE" "SS UNIFORMS" "GERMAN POLICE UNIFORMS".
I don't agree that the SD never wore leather coats, they did but not of course if they were undercover but at other times they would want people to know who they were.

It would be a shame if the German uniforms are wrong.

Of course SOE should get a mention but French productions don't always mention how Britain helped the French in the war.

I'm enjoying the show and while it doesn't distract from the overall enjoyment.

I was also surprised considering the production values, how wrong some of the German uniforms were and the other historical inaccuracies
