I just viewed an old 2009 interview of Michael Ware on Bill Maher and he was quite informative about the Iraq war and the Middle East and i would be interested to see some of his work.

Thanks, I just noticed Ware on You-Tube, the Bill Maher Overtime label.
It is funny how the Overtime segments are posted so quickly to You-Tube,
but Real Time takes forever to show up on HBO Now. Very irritiating

Did he say anything of note on Maher?

Its going to be on HBO on March 28

We watched it through the HBO: On Demand channel. It is easier to watch it that way rather than waiting for it to show up at some random local indie theater. It is definitely well-worth watching, though I would suggest that those with touchy stomachs may have trouble with a few scenes as Michael Ware does not shield us from the horrors of war, which were very real for him.
