Are there any english subtitles for this series?

If so, where can I find them? Tried to Google them but cannot find any apart for s01e01 and they are appalling.

There are English subtitles around on both Addic7ed and Subscene.
The problem is that the show comes with hardcoded Scandinavian subtitles, Norwegian, Swedish, etc which cannot be removed. So if you add English subtitles you get both, together, making both unreadable

I should have added "decent subtitles" for this show. The ones available are just appalling! The hardcoded subtitles is not a problem, you can set an opaque background on your English subtitles to cover them (with VLC).

Well, I generally watch scandi movies on either VLC or MplayerX. With VLC you just add the subtitle file in the section "add subtitles" and you can set the colour of subtitles text and the background opacity -say it's black, pump it up to 100%- and the size of the font, whatever you want (smallest, small, medium, large, etc). So it just covers the hardcoded ones, simple as that.

All you need now are really good quality subtitles.

What's wrong with the subtitles on the Addic7ed website? They work perfectly fine if you ask me.

I'm only able to download an srt file for episode 1 and its not good at all. addic7ed site no longer has them. Is this going to be like Un village francais? From what I have seen 'Acquitted' is probably not as good as that one.

If you search this on Google: 'Frikjent subtitles addic7ed' or 'Frikjent ..... (name of the episode) + subtitles, you can find subtitles for all episodes. And your question about whether this is similar to or if this is just as good as 'Un village francais', I simply don't know, cause I've never seen it. Is Frikjent good though? I don't know either; I've downloaded it a while ago, but I didn't have time to watch it yet (most reviews are positive, but ofcourse that doesn't always have to say something).

Thank you for the Addic7ed site, i had all the subs but with a damn codec and the programs didn't got all the lines....
all the subs on Addic7ed are perfect... it only sucks to sync them with the horrible huge letters and black background.

There is a way to stream the full season with auto English subs. The Australian streaming service Stan. Stan is one of the top streaming sites next to Netflix. If you live in the U.S. you can go to Stan.com.au and sign up for a free 30 day trial, just remember to cancel before 30 days if you wish to. There is tons of shows and movies. You will not be able to download the mobile app outside of AU through Google play or iTunes. You have to side load the app by searching in browser for Stan .apk (Android) on your mobile device. The easiest way is to just stream from the desktop site on your home computer @ Stan.com.AU last and most important step is to use a VPN with an AU IP to unrestrict Geo block. Try connecting through different locations in AU .. A lot of the Sydney IP's are blocked even with VPN, so a different city in AU will do the trick.
