Damn there are a lot of cheating in this series.
Aksel Borgen and Tonje Sandvik
Tonje Sandvik and the Mayor (when he was 35 years and she 16 years)
Inger Moen Hansteen and Degang Adams
Tim Borgen and Helene Hansteen
Erik Nilsen and Åse Johansen

apparently nobody can their pants on, when their spouse/partner aren't around

Not true. The real killer isn't unveiled until the end of season two.

This bothered me too. It's ridiculous how there is always a cheater in drama, but to have this many is sickening.

Aksel is a very bad liar, he does it all the time, but I must admit that as he hesitates painfully over all his answers perhaps sometimes he could be bluffing and actually telling the truth.
My favourite comment of his (to his wife): "But I've known Tonje all my life." Perhaps it had slipped his mind that he had spent half his life away from her, without any contact, in Malaysia!
