Season finale not series finale?

Is there any significance to NBC calling episode 13 the season finale instead of the series finale? Usually NBC makes that distinction (Believe, Revolution, etc.)

Maybe I'm just thinking wishfully, but I'm not sure we've seen the last of Allegiance.

I noticed that too. While I'm hopeful for a season 2, I'm also not exactly holding my breath...

The decision to cancel was made 2 months ago and the last several episodes were only shown online. I think that's a fairly definitive decision.

reply

They released the remaining episodes on demand and in their info of the episode, it said "season finale" I think that's where the OP got the confusion.

reply

The OP isn't confused at all. It was a spotlight on the fact that NBC promoted episode 13 as the "season finale" rather than "series finale" which is typically how NBC promotes the final episode of a series. It included my personal speculation as to what that could mean.

Here is the article in 'Variety' from 2 months ago. http://variety.com/2015/tv/news/nbc-allegiance-series-cancelled-1201447890/
NBC cancelled it, but I suppose it possible that another network or an Online Streaming service like Amazon or Netflix and even Hulu could pick it up.

dudestein, I know that NBC cancelled it in March. I'm not sure why you keep misunderstanding the point of my posts.

I was actually on your side, but the OP must be confused! Good thing this show doesn't matter anymore and this imdb page is useless (like some)

The OP is not confused. I think English may not be everyone's first language here (which is perfectly fine) but it is leading to some miscommunication.

You were thinking wishfully. That's your answer to your question.
