Why do you think this show tanked?

Welp, I was going to come on here and ask what makes this show different than previous spy shows like Undercovers but then found out this show was cancelled too. Why do you think its so hard for these spy shows to stay on the air?

Simple enough answer to your question is---because NBC's suits are A**holes!!!!!!

6% of scientists are republican. Scientists have no explanation why that number is so high

People automatically assumed it was a ripoff of The Americans. I still think this was better than The Blacklist, which would be nothing without Spader

Put it on Thursdays and NBC gave up on it to quickly.

how it works !
The ratings are estimates of what a small group of neilsen monitored people watch.

They control what stays for years and what goes.
They like reality shows, dancing and singing etc. they like cop shows CSI shows.
They like the 30 min comedy's .

They dont like sci fi shows, and deep drama's shows that require much thought are dropped.
With russian spy shows, they dont care for that at all , only a few nielsen viewers watch americans, and this show.

This show was dead on arrival Ratings were so low, on pilot that I knew it would not make it.

They dont know what we all really watch, it is all determined by estimating from what a small group of nielsen people watch.
The nielsen people control what we all get to see.

Thats why a animated cartoon like the simpsons is on for decades while other great shows are canceled after 10 eps or less.

The nielsen people control what we all get to see.

for example if 10% of them watch a show they assume 10% of the 250 mil households are watching some math is done and you have the ratings. The demo
is based on Neilsen viewers 18-34 and 18-49 and male and female.
the most important is the 18-34 female demo as they spend more $ than any other group so advertisers love them. The higher that demo is the better.
Most of that group does not like scifi or spy shows or any cerebral dramas.

Bad marketing and placement. Shows that cost more shouldn't be released in the middle of the year. If the major networks are going to put shows out inspired by cable then they need to follow suit with how cable markets and places their series.
