maybe?

I was completely not interested in this film. I liked the original film but it's years since I watched it. Also, I'm not a big fan of Spielberg and didn't want to see what he'd done with the story.
However, I was listening to a program on BBC Radio 3 just now and they made it sound interesting.
For those who don't know it BBC Radio 3 is a serious music channel. They didn't get everyone together just to produce the usual puff piece promotional and meaningless program we'll be seeing on a lot of TV programs in the near future. There was a lot of history and discussion with clips of other versions plus a snippet Natalie Woods. At the end they talked through the final scenes in the original film and I was surprised by how much that bought back to me - enough to make me want to re-watch the old version (I think I've got a copy somewhere) and maybe buy a ticket for the new version.
