I recently had a talk with a longtime family friend about West Side Story and Spielberg's upcoming re-make/roboot of it.

We had a short discussion about it, and when I told him that Spielberg was doing a reboot/remake of the 1961 film version of West Side Story, that I had seen pictures of the cast and scenery of Spielberg's upcoming reboot of it, really didn't like what I'd seen, and that I was planning to vote my pocketbook and boycott Spielberg's reboot/remake of the film West Side Story (inotherwords, not go to see it when it hits the movie theatres at around Christmastime of 2020), our friend responded "Well, that's really loyal of you."

Sometimes, I wonder if he was being sarcastic, because he thought I was being a bit biased, or if he really understood my love for the old, original 1961 film version of West Side Story.

What do you all think? Just curious.

Um, you know him better than any of us, who most likely haven't met you guys before. I wasn't there, so I can't judge.

Hi, StrongRex.

Thank you very much for your reply. I don't see him very often, but our family friend knows that the original 1961 film version of West Side Story is my all time favorite movie, hands down. That being said, it could mean either or, if one gets the drift.
