Forklifts to Load Cars

Anyone else bothered by the fact that they are using forklifts to load the cars onto trailers in each of the episodes? I'd expect to see that at a salvage yard, but not moving cars around that you plan to restore.

I would understand that, but I'm pretty sure I've seen them use the forklift on cars they plan to restore. I'll keep an eye out this week to see if that's the case.

I actually found some episodes on YouTube. If you jump to the 16:50 mark on episode one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkUXYkc-gas they are loading the Corvair van by forklift.

In episode three, they clean up and re-sell a '41 Pontiac. They end up getting something like $14k for it, so it's not a parts car. It was loaded by fork lift at 15:55 here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQVEhWfZBFk. About a minute after that, they load two identical Pontiacs that end up being "the hero car," as the show calls them, by forklift.

The jerk who runs the local junkyard uses a forklift to move stuff around, but when we needed a new rear axle for our project car it was located on a car that had one of those big late 60's early 70's Caddies stacked on top if it. The owner simply drove the forklift right through the caddies doors and picked it up and dumped it off to the side. The Caddy was by no means a decent runner, but how can a person be so apathetic to put big damn holes in the door panels on one side of the car when he could of lifted from under the frame of the car easy enough?

The guy also didn't show to open up the yard until 2 in the afternoon when the place was supposed to open at 9am.

yeah, with the price of scrap metal now, I am PRETTY sure these guys are CRUSHING for quick scrap $ most of these valuable pieces of american culture. This show should be called Lords of the Destroying American Steel instead.

I don't always post on IMDB.com, but when I do I make sure I'm hammered.

that was the first thing i noticed.unless you are scrapping them who would do such a thing?
