I'm watching a movie about people trying to find rope

Who told you to come and see such movies. Dude you are a high race, these movies are for very different and are made for people who are different. You Sir, you must see the above mentioned movies.

Yep, this movie's about rope. Just like "Wadjda" is about a bike, "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" is about a cup, "Casablanca" is about immigration forms and "Pulp Fiction" is about a suitcase and a wristwatch.

If only filmmakers could come up with stories about human endurance in the face of overwhelming adversity, imagine how good the movies could be.

You missed the whole thing. The "rope" used was from the little boys' parents. They either hanged themselves; more likely were hung. It's a movie about war. Not rope.
