My Review Of The Miniseries...

I reviewed the series for the website Squabblebox.

Have a read, tell me if you agree or disagree with my assessment 

Very fine review indeed sir. I will continue to watch the series as it is broadcast although the time slot and advertising is a killer.

What I found interesting about your assessment was that you served in the Army, and I feel that your somewhat unique POV makes your thoughts on this series even more worthy. Well done.

I should also say that I have ZERO experience in military issues but my passion is in photography and cinema. Although I can only view this series from that perspective, I also have a emotional link to the Dardanelles campaign as my Grandfather landed with the British troops in that warzone and served as a Royal Engineer. He survived that disaster, my mother never EVER forgave Churchill, and he served through to 1918 witnessing the horror of the Somme along the way.

Cheers mate. And I'm also quite passionate about film and cinematography, I've made a few short movies and I've written thousands of reviews. Guess a film nut with military experience - who has also read the source novel - makes me quite a trustworthy pair of eyes for this series 

I feel ya dude, my great uncle died of wounds in France. I believe he participated in the battle of the Somme, though I could be mistaken. He was only 22 when he unfortunately met his demise. And I know that my grandmother's father fought in Bullecourt, and was wounded there.

Very interesting to hear that your grandfather was part of the Dardanelles campaign 

Did your Grandmother forgive Churchill after his excellent efforts during WW2?

Well done on your review, I just binge watched the mini - series found it highly enjoyable attention to detail and how the so called leaders command in such a hellas gallipoli can never be forgotten,

I think I've watched enough of this show through 5 episodes.

Do they ever bring up Winston Churchill? Apparently he was in his early 40's when he came up with the idea for this invasion.
