..the "nothing is happening" complaints. The only way a complaint like that can make sense is if the whole movie is characters staring at something, not doing ending else, then end credits appear.

That's the only time you can say that "nothing happens".

It's like people don't realize that things like characterization, pacing, atmosphere build up etc. exist. Now, whether the movie builds the atmosphere well and has good good characterization is another story. It's still not a good reason to say that nothing happens.

If you really want to get to the killings, creepy scenes etc. right away, watch horror movie clips on Youtube.

I 100% agree. Yes, those are the people who like gory films. If there is no blood every 5 minutes they are bored. The best part was (especially watching the second time) her walking home after the party on those dark streets....all alone. Her walking up to the house....watching her take every step... Ooooooo... Shivers just remembering the anticipation... Suspense!! Just great.

People have become lazy and lack imagination and comprehension. They need to be instantly gratified and seizured.

nothing interesting happens. these characters are paper thin and boring. maybe with a better script they could pull off 50 minutes of babbling. it's very obvious they were just filling in the void to reach the 90 minute mark.
