I have now dumped this series

Watched the first episode...and then the second was like pulling teeth.😱

Skipped the third episode. Can't be bothered any more.

Quite frankly it is a complete load of dross. Badly - and overacted. Terrible script.

Boring plot.

It's like Enid Blyton's Famous Five.

Utter sh**. 

reply

Who cares.

reply

I for one do not.

reply

It's to be expected, neither of you 'care' about the series.

It's sh**. 

reply

Well...

reply

Seems like the 'story' is a one-off special - maybe 1 hour 30 minutes at best.

There is a lot of filler dialogue/scenes and the acting is pretty basic.

reply

It's not award winning, but it's good entertainment

reply

I care, because it could have been so good!

reply

I don't blame you, it's godawful.

reply

It's so bad, it's hard to know where to begin.

The two main characters must be the world's dumbest spies. I know they're not meant to be professional so they should be unorthodox, but still good at what they do. Instead, they search people's rooms when said person is just getting out of the shower instead of when they've just gone in, or when they've just returned to the hotel, instead of oh I don't know, when they're out. The episodes play out as a litany of cock ups that have absolutely no consequence.

So many scenes just made be cover my face with embarrassment, like when they were squabbling like schoolchildren over who N was. Its so implausible that they would be recruited by the secret service, it feels like the programme makers are laughing at me for watching it.

The characters are not just incompetent, they're also completely unsympathetic. David Walliams doesn't even appear to be trying to play a straight man, and ends up playing a character you would cross the street to avoid.

reply

The declining viewing figures agree with the OP.

Its that man again!!

reply

Wait until you get to the second story, O or P?, because it SURELY isn't N or M? !!!!

I can relate. I made it to the end of the first episode, and gave up. And even found that halfway through that I found myself doing other things while it was on. Not a good sign. 

For me, it just never caught fire. The script was far too slow, most of what we were shown felt inconsequential, and ... well, I didn't feel the acting was bad, exactly, just that everyone seemed to be working in isolation -- the actors didn't seem able to connect, even when they were talking to each other.

Pleasing production values though, I thought.

You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.
